Better than the original Shape-Ups!!!
I have to say that I'm in love with the new XF line from Skechers! I already own a pair of "regular" Skechers Shape-Ups and I really wanted something lower to wear while jogging on my treadmill. I decided to give the Accelerators a try and I am so happy that I did -- they are awesome! The kinetic wedge seems to be a different material than the kinetic wedge in my regular Shape-Ups. I don't know how to describe it other than it's more of a smooth, shiny rubber and seems to be more durable than the original kinetic wedge. I have the light blue/silver Accelerators, but I like them so much that I'm going to purchase the black version. Another thing that I really like about these shoes is the mesh paneling. My feet don't get as hot in them. I've also noticed that the insole is different from the original Shape-Ups. It's a smooth material and has more perforated holes for breathablity. Great for walking all day
I have a lower back issue which flares up when I do alot of walking, and bought these on the recommendation of a friend. I balked at the $100 price tag, but as we were headed to the state fair for the day I sucked it up and bought them. I'm so glad I did. I made it through the entire day without any problem and thse are now my favorite shoes for just about everything except going to work (I would wear them there to, but we're not allowed to wear sneakers.) As soon as I put them on I noticed my posture changed, I usually make a conscious effot to walk with good posture and these made me do it without having to think about it. My one complaint is they are not aesthetically pleasing. I bought the black and blue ones which seemed the least oldladyish. (I'm 27, I shouldn't hve to wear granny shoes!) Great Shoes
I bought a pair of XF-Accelerators for mt Granddaughter for her Birthday and she just loves them.
Skechers says that the shoes take some getting used to, but she was wearing them from the minute she opened the box with not a single problem. No getting used to, no learning to walk differently, nothing.
Maybe it is because she was a figure skater for 14 years and so is used to having to balance when standing without side support and has good ankle strength from her skating. I don't know but in any case she has been wearing them for about a month now and the only complaint she has about them was that they need to have a wider selection of colors. Not that the colors they have are bad, but she likes some colors they don't currently offer in this particular model of shoe though they do offer the colors she likes in other models but those models don't have the same features she wanted that this model does have. The Best!!
I have tried every type of athletic shoe around and this one is the best for me, hands down. I need foot surgery for a bone that didn't heal right from a break years ago, and until I get the surgery done, I need to wear something that gives me pain relief. This is the only shoe I can honestly say doesn't hurt. I bought 2 identical pairs!! These shoes are so comfortable, it feels like I'm walking on bubble wrap!! LOL!!

Love these shoes
I love the workout I get with these shoes. They are not, as another reviewer posted, regular sneakers. They have the rounded sole and in order to get the most from your workout, you must watch the DVD that comes with the shoes which explains how to step in order to maximize your workout. It's a rolling motion from heel to toe and if you follow the directions, you will notice a huge difference in your workout. Powerwalking takes on whole new meaning in these shoes!

The vendor was excellent about the time I recieved the product. It came unexpectantly early. I love the shoes! I work as a nurse and I am on my feet 12 hours a day. When I wear other shoes I can feel the difference. I do recommend this product highly.
Skechers Shape Ups
I had high hopes for these shoes. They were definitely much more expensive than my usual brand so perhaps my expectations were higher also.

They arrived very promptly with the free shipping option in far less time than advertised. I do love this about Amazon.

I purchased these shoes for work. I am on my feet all day so having good support and comfortable shoes are a must. These just don't fit the bill. I wore them for 2 weeks, 10 hour days to give them a fair trial. They were hot, heavy, and I just couldn't wait to get them off. I was aware of my feet at all times which is NOT a good thing.

The curve of the bottom, thus the rocking motion was also not good for this wearer. The term sea legs come to mind. When I took them off, I found myself still rocking back and forth.

Much More Comfortable than MBTs
I bought my first pair of MBTs a few months ago to wear to work and on weekends. Then I bought another pair of MBTs. Then I bought a pair of Sketchers Shape-Ups for weekends. The Sketchers are much more comfortable and seem like they will last much longer than the MBTs, and they are not nearly as ugly. On my first pair of MBTs, the elastic that connects the leather straps over my arch to the side of the shoe is fraying and coming apart. The second pair of MBTs, while the same size as the first pair, are much too small in the toe area, especially on the right foot. I am in pain if I wear those for too long. The Sketchers are extremely comfortable.

People have remarked that my posture improves immediately when I put on the MBTs or Sketchers, and that I seem younger when I wear them. I already loved to walk, but I can walk much farther in the Sketchers without any kind of foot pain. It seems I get less fatigued walking in Sketchers than my normal tennis shoes. I am...

Size Runs Small
I love the Shape-Up products and the shoes really have helped my foot and back pain. The problem is with the sizing. This style was way too small for the stated size, so I had to return the shoes. The Shape-Up shoes are really wonderful, but it is frustrating to not be able to trust sizing from one style to the next. My first pair of Shape-Ups fit very well in a size 9, but the size 9 in this style was way too short. Because of the great return policy with Amazon purchases, I was not charged for the return shipping and was given a full refund. Since the shoes are back in stock, I have reordered.
Quality merchandise
I purchased the Sketchers Woman's Shape ups because I knew what a great product this was. Was unable to purchase in a retail store due to great demand and was not able to purchase.

I went on line with Amazon and purchased the shoe and the shoes arrived in a matter of a few days. To my great delight I was able to wear to work and shoes fit perfectly.

If you are having trouble with walking or legs/hips hurt this shoe should help tremendously. This was my second pair and they can be therapeutic.

Energy Blast...not
I have other shape-up shoes before and they were very comfortable and my legs never hurt from standing all day. Apparently this shape-ups aren't as cushioned on the heels as the others. My feet and legs are achy now from these shoes

Most comfortable shoes my husband has ever worn
On the advice of his brother, my husband wanted to try these shoes for his gym workouts. Now he doesn't want to take them off! My husband has a spinal injury, and is in constant pain. He said these shoes really relieve the jarring pain of walking. A great product!

Most comfortable to date
I purchased Skechers Shape Ups to help with a recent knee injury. Because of the comfortableness I have since purchased two more pairs. These are the most comfortable shoes I've worn to date and, at 57 years old, I've worn a lot of shoes. They're a bit hard to adjust to at first but after an hour or two you truly feel as if you're walking on firm sand. I workout on a regular basis so I can't gauge the toning aspect but can tell you that my rock climbing has improved as has my balance. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who enjoys the feeling of comfort.
Cushion comfort, ugly shoe
I am in nursing school and saw a lot of nurses wearing these, so I thought I would give them a try. I really love how comfortable they are! You can definitely feel different muscle work-outs while you wear them and you do have to walk kind of funny, which sucks. I noticed that when I tried to stand on my toes, to look up high or something, I can't really do it because of the way the shoe fits and works my muscle. I really like the extra cushion, however, to protect my foot from the hard, cement ground.

I know a lot of people have been into the flatter shoes, thinking they are more natural: but here's the thing - walking on man-made concrete and tile floors is not natural! Barefoot-like shoes may work well on natural surfaces like grass and dirt, but not artificial flooring. I love the Shape-ups for the added cushion so my foot doesn't ache from being pounded onto the hard, artificial flooring all day. Great for lower back pain!
Okay, first of all I have to say that Skechers needs to change their marketing a little - these aren't going to make you skinny or give you super model legs or an awesome butt, unless you walk A LOT more than usual. If you just walk the same amount, they will help, but they aren't miracle workers - at least not for achieving the perfect body.

However, if you have feet that get tired and sore easily or if you have lower back or leg pain, these are the shoes for you! I start nursing school this fall and I purchased these because I will be on my feet all day. In January 2010, I hurt my back while putting my daughter in her car seat. Went to the doctor and he said that I had a herniated disc with sciatic pain. Now, it is July and the pain is still there - it can take months or years for it to go away. These Rock!
I have had these for about a week now and they ROCK! And they are comfortable. I have severe osteoporosis and have suffered from lower back pain for many years, I bought these to walk the dogs in, and for the first time in many years, my back wasn't in severe pain after a 30-45 minute walk. I Love These Shoes!
I bought these shoes will little expectations. WRONG! I am a large woman with bad knees and back. I put these on in the mornings and wear them all day. They're wonderful when shopping. My knees still get stiff by they don't hurt and to me that's the biggest and best thing. When I don't wear the Skechers I can really tell in my feet and knees. Make sure you buy a little larger. Great Shoes! For a week.
I purchased these shoes after falling in love with my MBT shoes. I hoped to find something a little more stylish than my tennis shoes. These were perfect and insanely comfortable.

BUT, after a week of normal walking, the side stitching began to blow out of my shoe.

I must thank Amazon for their great and easy return policy, but the shoes themselves were a real disappointment.

Great looking and comfortable.
These are great shoes. They look fantastic. I have been able to wear them at work and they have a nice enough look to them to work in a professional atmosphere. I am already getting compliments on how good my legs are looking after wearing them regularly for a month. The feel of them makes you want to keep walking. I find myself taking the long way around the building just to keep walking.

I have a lot of shoes... not cheap shoes ether...but not one of them changed my day to day life...
in the last two years I have bin in two car accidence (not my fault) and my hips have had a hell of a time... and being only in my early twenty's it sucks when you need/want skip doing even little thing (like dishes or going to the store) because you can't stand or walk for vary long with out your hips going out ( and stay out for days) but when I got my Shape-Ups everything changed... I can go out and walk around town all day and not be in pain!!!
I have had my Shape-Ups for about a month now and not once in that time has my hip gone out!!!
The only thing I wine about now is that after walking in then all day my gluts and thighs will get a bit swore :) (they not lying about the walk your way in to shape part).

These shoes make you want to walk!
And I am NOT an exercising person. I am a serious couch potato. But I have a long walk into my office from the parking lot, so I figured, what the hell. When I first put them on I almost fell over because they really do rock back and forth but you adjust quickly. They are not the cutest shoes I've ever owned, but none of these types of shoes are. They are comfortable and when walking, they sort of "push" you into your next step so that your gait is slightly faster as well. It's hard to explain. I even tried to slow down but it's like I just couldn't do it. I don't know. But whatever it is, it works!

Wow. I absolutely love these shoes and I never write reviews but I just had to. They are the most amazing shoes ever and I have told all my friends to buy them- some did and they love them too! The best thing is that they really dont look that bad, not nearly as horrid as the original shape ups just for walking...people rarely notice unless I tell them. The grey and pink help.. pretty standard shoe colors. I love that you can walk and run in them... so perfect for my kind of exercise. I also do circuit training in the gym in them and I swear they have made a huge impact in my workout. Nice Shoes... that run small
I bought these shoes at my regular size, which usually gives me a little room in the toe area. In these shoes, my toes are right at the edge. I'm returning them for a larger size.

Love my skechers shape ups!!
I am a massage therapist and I work on my feet alot and my feet and lower back would ache every week. I just got my shape ups for work in black and 24 hours later I went from a skeptic to full on convinced that these shoes do everything that is advertised. I went for a walk and didn't get more than 30 yards from the house and I could feel an intense burning sensation from my ankle to my glutes and I had never felt any type of sensation from walking for 5 miles in my old shoes and I can honestly say that after a 1 1/2 mile walk, I felt like I walked 20 miles and I know that my legs and glutes will be toner because of these shoes! I was interested in this sort of a heel when MBT first came out, but decided to wait and see if the price would come down. I was thankful to see Skechers, a brand that I trust. Ordered two pair, white for work (I am a nurse) and the black for casual wear. They are cushioney, great for long walks and a great buy!
Most comfortable work shoe ever!!
I saw these shoes in an add in the paper. By birthday was in August and my son's and husband bought me a pair of these shoes. They are absolutley wonderful. I use to run marathons and now have sore knees and back every morning i wake up. I've had these shoes for a week and have worn them everyday to work. My knees and back have not hurt since. I want to get another pair of the black and white fitness ones. Excellent shoe. Well worth the money.
