The Eclectic is a pure and highly attractive collection, the result of a fairly complex evolution. We took shapes derived from our Originals but mashed them up for a post-Millennial feel, ably assisted by subtle cloth label detailing. A light and yet durable shoe and boot that will win over those who may never have previously worn Dr. Martens. This sole is hard-wearing, with good abrasion and slip resistance.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

I ordered this shoe in Cherry, size 8.
The weight:
I don't own a lot of Doc Marten's. I have one pair of classic Doc Marten boots for winter wear, so when I got these in the mail, I expected them to be heavier than your average shoe. I was wrong! These Docs are light as a feather, I think they are probably lighter than my Chuck Taylors. This was the first thing I noticed when I took them out of the box. These shoes can definitely be used as work shoes, I would say. considering the moderate appearance and light weight.
The appearance:
I say, with delight that the color I ordered came exactly as it looks online. I'm not sure about other colors but my Cherry pair came exactly as deep and ponderous as I hoped they'd be. These shoes sport the traditional yellow stitching of the Doc Marten.

Great Shoe - But Sizing?
So these are extremely cute. I got the Greasy Lamper and I'm happy with them but I'm a 6.5 and couldn't choose between 6 and 7. ended up going with the 6. Honestly they felt a tad too tight at first but now they are all I wear to work. (My work requires a lottt of walking). I basically walked them out in the first couple of days and now they're all good. Would be no good if they were too big. For a high top shoe I'd get a 7 most likely. Still wish Doc Martens made half sizes.
Great comfort shoe
I picked up these Dr Marten shoes because I was tired of wearing sneakers with my jeans. My feet are wide, so I often have to break shoes in, but these fit very well straight away. I wear them all the time.
